How do I add products and track my stock?
Money › Products & Inventory in Woof is your retail catalogue: name, price, what you paid, category, barcode and stock on hand, with margin worked out for you. Stock counts down as products sell, and a reorder point per product flags low stock.
Turn on Retail in Business Setup, Step 3, and the page appears under Money.
Steps
- Click + Add a product.
- Enter the name, price, cost (what you pay; margin is calculated), a category (or make a new one), the brand, and the UPC / barcode so the invoice editor's scanner finds it.
- Enter the stock on hand and, if you like, a reorder point ("min 5"). Below it the product shows Needs reorder; with no reorder point the store-wide low-stock threshold applies.
- Add up to three photos and tick Show in client portal if you sell online. Save.
Stock
Stock counts down each time a product is sold on a closed invoice, in store or from the portal shop. Edit a product to correct the count after a delivery or a stock take. The All Stock filter narrows to Low Stock or Out of Stock, and the stat tiles show your inventory at cost.
Bulk actions
Tick several products for Set Portal Visibility, a category change, or Delete Selected. Deleting hides the product; sales history keeps it.
Variants
Group as variants turns several products into one shop card with a picker (a shampoo in three sizes). Each keeps its own price and stock.
Importing a list
Money › Import Products takes a spreadsheet of products, with the same matching-and-preview steps as the client import.
Where the numbers go
Insights › Retail Stock Report is this page filtered to what is selling and what is running out. Retail revenue is split out on Daily Close and in the bookkeeping export.
