How do I sell a product on an invoice?
On any invoice in Woof, choose Add a product under Retail, search by name, brand or SKU or scan the barcode, and the line is added with tax. Orders clients place in your portal shop land in Money › Shop Orders as a pickup queue.
Retail rides on the same invoice as the groom, so a shampoo sold at pick-up is one line under the service.
At the counter
- Open the invoice (the one that opened at check-in, or New › Create invoice with Walk-in Customer for a retail-only sale).
- Under Retail, below the pets, choose Add a product. The products you sold most recently sit under Recent at this store, then every product follows, with the count. Type to narrow it by name, brand or SKU, or scan the barcode with a USB scanner into the search box. Tap a product to add it; tap it again for a second one, or change the quantity on the line.
- Tax is applied per product from its own taxable setting. A discount on the invoice is shared across every line, products included.
- Collect Payment & Close. Stock for each product sold counts down when the invoice closes.
Orders from your portal shop
When a product is marked Show in client portal, clients can buy it from Shop in their portal, usually for pickup at their next appointment. Those orders appear under Money › Shop Orders as a queue: Overdue, Today, Upcoming and Anytime, by pickup time, then Done.
- Open the order: items, quantities, the customer, whether it is Paid or how much to collect at pickup.
- Move it from New to Preparing to Ready. Moving to Ready emails the client that their order is ready for pickup; other steps stay silent unless you tick Email the customer this update.
- At pickup, Open invoice to collect anything owed, then mark it Picked up.
An internal note on the order is for staff; a note to the customer goes in the email.
