How do I set my staff's shifts?

Two schedules, two jobs. Shifts (this page) is the rota: hours people are paid for. Groomer schedules (Grooming setup, Step 3) are the times appointments can be booked. Set both; they cross-link.

Steps

1. Open Team › Shifts. Rows are your team members; columns are the days of the week, Monday first.
2. Click a cell and Add shift. Pick Open (7a-3p), Mid (11a-7p) or Close (3p-11p), or type the times; a note is optional ("training", "on call"). An end time at or before the start makes it an overnight shift. Save shift.
3. A person can have two shifts in a day (a split). Click a chip to edit or delete it.
4. Copy last week fills empty cells from the previous week without touching what you already entered.
5. Publish & notify emails every person whose week changed since you last published, with their full week. The button shows how many will be notified and is disabled when nothing changed, so clicking it twice does nothing twice.

The totals row shows daily coverage and each person's hours for the week. Print / post prints the grid for the staff room.

Attendance

Once a day has started, each shift shows how it went from the time clock: on time, late (past the grace you set), no-show (the day is over and they never clocked in), or on shift right now. Grace and overtime thresholds are set under Policy on the Clock In/Out report.

Who appears

Team members with a kiosk PIN or a login. A person with neither is not on the grid; give them one under Settings › User Accounts.

The email

Schedule updates (staff) under Settings › Notifications & Emails is the email Publish sends. It needs each person's email on their account.
