How do staff clock in and out, and how do I fix a wrong clock-in?

Punches are the actual hours; shifts are the plan. The time clock records the first; the report compares it with the second.

Two ways to punch

• The kiosk: on a device signed in as an admin (the front-desk computer or tablet), Time Clock in the sidebar opens the PIN pad. The person enters their username and 4-digit PIN, sees their name and this week's shifts, and taps Clock In or Clock Out. The confirmation screen is the guard against punching as someone else.
• Self-serve: a groomer or front-desk person signed in under their own login clicks Time Clock and gets a one-tap Clock in / On shift · clock out without a PIN; their login already says who they are.

The punch is stamped with the store's clock, not the device's. If someone forgets to clock out, the next tap the following day starts a new clock-in and the open one is flagged for an admin.

PINs

Under Settings › User Accounts, open the person and Generate kiosk PIN. PINs are unique within the store; regenerate if one is shared. A Clock In / Out account is a PIN with no login, for staff who never use the web app.

The report

Insights › Clock In/Out Report shows, for a week, month or custom range: who is clocked in right now, each person's punches, hours and overtime, late arrivals against their shift, and forgotten clock-outs (Missing or On the clock flags). Totals feed the payroll report.

An admin can Edit a punch (times, or clear the clock-out to reopen it), Delete a wrong one, or Fix a stale open punch with one tap, which closes it now or at a time you type. Every change refreshes the report; nothing is edited in place on the screen.
