How do I get Google and Facebook reviews from clients automatically?
Turn on Automated Reviews under Grow › Automations in Woof and paste your Google and Facebook review links. Every check-out then sends the client a rate-your-visit email, and ratings land on the Reviews dashboard.
The ask goes out at the right moment, when the pet has just gone home looking great, and it sends every client to the same place: first a quick rating, then your public review pages.
Steps
- Open Grow › Automations and the Automated Reviews row. Switch it on.
- Under Review platforms, paste your Google review link and your Facebook review link. Only the platforms with a link are offered to clients.
- Decide whether to Show reviews on my booking page. Off by default; on, it shows the reviews clients marked public on your booking page, newest first, as first name and last initial.
- Leave Email me immediately on to get an email, reply-to the client, whenever feedback is negative or private.
- Save. Adjust the email's subject and body from the same drawer if you like.
Finding your review links
- Google: open your Google Business Profile (search your business name while signed in to the Google account that manages it), click Ask for reviews, and copy the short link. It looks like
https://g.page/r/.../review. - Facebook: open your Page, go to its Reviews tab, and copy the address from the browser bar.

What the client gets
After Check Out, an email from your business titled "Review your <service> experience at <your store>" with five stars to tap. Each star opens a short Woof page in your colours, with that rating already selected, where the client can add a few words for everyone to see, a private note for your team, or both. The rating and anything they write arrive on Insights › Reviews & Reputation. One review per visit: opening the link again shows a thank-you instead of a second form. The same Leave a review ask sits on the client's portal home page after every visit and at the end of each report card.
Every client gets the same email. Woof never shows a different path to happy and unhappy clients; that kind of gating is not allowed by consumer law, and it is not built.
Handling what comes in
On the Reviews dashboard each review shows its rating, the client, pet and service, and whether it is public or private. Private or low-star feedback is marked Action needed with Reach out (opens the client's message thread) and Resolve. The tiles at the top track your average rating, five-star count and new reviews over the last 30 days. To ask one client by hand, open their appointment and click Request Review.
