How do I invite a client to the portal?

Send an invitation from the client's profile or the Clients page in Woof, one client at a time or everyone not yet invited in one go. The email carries a link that signs them straight in and asks them to set a password.

Every client already has a place in your portal; an invitation is how they find it. The Clients page shows each client as Not invited, Invited or Claimed (they have signed in at least once).

Steps

  1. Open the client's family profile. If they have not claimed the portal yet, a banner says so.
  2. Click Send Invitation. The email goes from your business name to the client's address with your brand colour.
  3. The link in the email signs them in directly (no code to type) and asks them to set a password. The link works for 14 days and once only; sending again issues a fresh one.
  4. Their status on the Clients page changes to Invited, then to Claimed when they sign in.

On the Clients page you can invite one client, the selected ones, or everyone not yet invited in one go. When you add a new client, the form offers to send the invitation immediately.

Clients who never got an invitation

They can still sign in. On your booking page, Sign in with the email or phone number you have on file sends them a one-time code. Anyone whose contact details match a client of yours gets in that way, invitation or not. A client with no email and no phone cannot use the portal until you add one.

After they are in

They can book, see and pay invoices, update their pets, upload vaccination records and message you. Their sign-in stays on their device, so returning clients do not sign in every time.
