How do I set up a waiver for clients to sign?

Write your waiver under Settings › Digital Waiver Signing in Woof: general terms every client signs once, plus an optional addendum per service. Clients sign it in the booking flow and a signed copy goes to their profile.

The setup checklist asks for a waiver twice, both in its Your clients chapter: A client waiver (one tap on Use recommended, or Use our template in Business Setup) gets you live quickly, and Your real waiver is the reminder to replace it with your own terms. This page is where you do that.

The structure

  • General Terms always apply. Sample sections: authorisation and consent, emergency medical care, limitation of liability, behavioural disclosure, refusal of service, pick-up policy.
  • Service Consent is an addendum per service you offer (Grooming Consent, for example). It is signed the first time a client books that service, so a client who only ever books grooming never signs a daycare addendum. An empty addendum means none is asked.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › Digital Waiver Signing. The pill reads Active once the general terms have content, Not set up until then.
  2. Click Edit your general terms. Use template starts you from Woof's; Insert variable drops in your business name and similar. Save.
  3. For each service, Edit this service's addendum or + Add addendum to add consent specific to it.

There are no on/off switches: a section is live exactly when it has text.

Preview as client shows the waiver the way clients see it, headed by your business name and logo. With no logo uploaded, it shows your initials on your brand colour instead; add a logo under Business Logo in Business Setup.

How signing works

Clients sign once, before their first appointment is confirmed, as a step in the booking flow (online, or on your screen when staff book them). They read each section and sign at the bottom, drawing or typing their name. The signed copy is emailed to them and saved to their profile. When you edit a section, its version changes and clients are asked to sign that section again at their next booking; sections they signed and you did not touch are not re-asked.
