How does the loyalty program work?

Clients earn points on every paid invoice in Woof and spend them as money off a later one. You set two numbers under Money › Loyalty Rewards: points per dollar spent, and points needed for a dollar off, with auto-enrol on by default.

Loyalty in Woof is cash back with a delay. There are no tiers and no reward catalogue: points become a discount at checkout, at a rate you choose.

The two numbers

Under Money › Loyalty Rewards, with Program on:

  • Points per dollar spent: the earn rate. One point per dollar is the common choice.
  • Points for a dollar off: the redeem rate. 100 points per dollar off means 1% cash back at one point per dollar.

The page works out the effective cash back for you and shows the program as the client sees it.

Earning and spending

Points are added when an invoice is paid, whole dollars only, for clients who are enrolled. At checkout, the Loyalty Points tile in the payment window lets staff apply some or all of a client's balance as a discount on that invoice; the balance drops when the invoice closes. Redemption cannot make an invoice negative. A refund takes the points back.

Members

The Members tab lists enrolled clients with a balance, its value in money, and Adjust points for a manual correction (a goodwill top-up, a mistake). The stat tiles show points outstanding, earned and redeemed in the last 30 days, and the redemption rate.

Options

  • Auto-enrol new clients is on by default; every new client earns from their first visit. Off, staff enrol clients from their profile.
  • Auto-email when reward unlocks tells a client when their balance crosses the threshold you set, so the points get used.

Clients' side

Their portal shows their balance and what it is worth. Redeeming happens at your counter.
