Bookings
10 answers about bookings in Woof grooming software, one question per page.
- How do I book a walk-in?
In Woof's booking wizard, click Walk-in on the client step and enter two names, the pet's name and breed, plus a phone if you can get one. The client and pet are created and you book them like anyone else.
- How do I book an appointment for a client?
Press N or click New booking in Woof, find the client and pet, pick the service and an open time, and confirm. The same wizard runs from the calendar, Today, a client's profile and any open slot.
- How do I check a pet in and out?
In Woof, click Check In when the pet arrives, Complete when the groom is done, and Check Out when it goes home, from Today or the appointment. The invoice opens itself at check-in, priced from your matrix, so payment at pickup is one click.
- How do I mark a no-show?
Open the appointment in Woof once its time has passed and click Mark No-Show. It stays on the calendar with a badge, counts in the No-Shows & Cancellations report, and can be undone.
- How do I read the calendar?
Woof's calendar shows one column per groomer in Day view, one column per day in Week view, and a capacity bar per day in Month view. Colours belong to groomers, and the stats strip filters the day when you click a tile.
- How do I rebook a client before they leave?
In Woof, the check-out screen has a Book Next Visit button, and the booking wizard shows a pet's recent visits with one-tap Rebook. Clients can also rebook from their portal.
- How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
Open the appointment in Woof and click Reschedule or Cancel, or drag it to a new time on the calendar. Both can leave a note on the pet, and clients can do the same from their portal within your cancellation window.
- How do I set up recurring appointments?
Tick Make this recurring in Woof's booking wizard, choose every 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks (or monthly) and how many visits, and Woof books the whole series. Manage every series under Schedule › Recurring.
- How does the waitlist work?
When you are full, Woof puts the request on the waitlist with a date range and time preference. When a slot opens, offer it (or let Woof offer it automatically) and the client taps a link to take it.
- What do the appointment statuses mean?
In Woof, Unconfirmed means the client has not responded to the reminder yet, Confirmed means they tapped the link or you marked it, and Checked in, Ready, Completed and No-show describe the visit itself. Running late is computed from the clock.
