How do I read the calendar?
Woof's calendar shows one column per groomer in Day view, one column per day in Week view, and a capacity bar per day in Month view. Colours belong to groomers, and the stats strip filters the day when you click a tile.
The calendar under Schedule › Calendar reads your bookings for whatever range is on screen and shows them against your groomers' schedules. Nothing on it is a mock; an empty day is an empty day.
The four views
- Day: one column per groomer working that day. Groomers with no schedule today are folded away; the +N not scheduled pill brings them back. Appointments with no groomer sit in an Unassigned column.
- Week: one column per day, every groomer's cards in it side by side, each card naming its groomer. Click a day header to open that day. On a phone, Week shows one groomer at a time.
Day and Week run from 7 AM to 8 PM, and stretch to cover any groomer's shift and any booking outside those hours. A pet booked for 11 PM when you meant 11 AM still shows up, at the bottom of the day, where you can open it and fix the time.
- Month: a count per day and a fill bar for how much of your capacity is booked.
- List: the week as a plain list.
Today and This week jump back to now. The All · Booked · Open switch shows open slots as faint blocks between the bookings; tap an open slot to book it.
The stats strip
On today's date the tiles are Booked, Here now, Coming, Running late, Completed, No-show, Unpaid and Revenue. Click a tile to filter the calendar to those appointments; click again to clear. On a week or month the strip shows only counts that make sense across a range (Booked, Unconfirmed, Confirmed, Completed).
"Running late" is computed: the start time has passed by 15 minutes, nobody has checked the pet in, and the slot is still running. It is never applied to past days.
Filters
Filters opens Status, Staff and Payment. They apply instantly, survive moving between dates, and Clear all resets them.
What a card tells you
Pet name, service, and a status tag: Unconfirmed, Confirmed, Reschedule requested, Checked in or Completed. The card's colour is its groomer's colour. Confirmed means the client tapped the link in their reminder or a staff member marked it confirmed.
Colours are per groomer, not per appointment
You cannot colour one appointment. Each groomer has one Calendar colour, set in their groomer profile (open it from the groomer's avatar in the calendar header, or from Step 3 of Grooming setup). The swatches show who already uses which colour, so two groomers only share one on purpose. A groomer with no colour chosen gets one automatically, and it is the same colour on every page.
Moving things
Drag a card to another time or another groomer's column to move it; drag its bottom edge to change the length. Both save immediately and can be undone by dragging back. A move outside the groomer's hours warns you ("Outside Sarah's hours") and lets you Book anyway.
The schedule badge
Each groomer's column header shows their hours for the day, or No schedule. Click it for Edit weekly schedule and Add time off.
