Getting started
11 answers about getting started in Woof grooming software, one question per page.
- How do I import my clients from a spreadsheet?
Go to Clients › Import Customers & Pets in Woof and upload the CSV or Excel export from your old system. Woof checks it, shows you exactly what will be created, then adds the owners and their pets in one pass; a messy file can be sent to us instead.
- How do I find a client or pet quickly?
Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K anywhere in Woof, type a name, phone or email, and open the client or pet straight from the results. Press N to open the New menu from any page.
- Why can't I log in?
Check which tab you are on first: owners sign in to Woof on the Email tab, staff on the Team tab with the Account ID and username. If the password is the problem, Forgot password sends a reset link to the email on the account.
- How do I add a groomer or staff member?
Go to Settings › User Accounts in Woof, click + Invite user, pick a role, tick the services they do, and choose whether they get an email login, a clock-in PIN, or both. The invitation tells them how to sign in.
- How do I move from DaySmart Pet to Woof?
Export your New Client List, All Pets and vaccination reports from DaySmart Pet, then import them into Woof yourself or email them to support@woof.net and we move everything over for you, notes and future appointments included.
- How do I move from Gingr to Woof?
Download your database backup from Gingr (Admin › Manage Data › Backup your database) and email it to support@woof.net, and Woof's team moves your clients, pets, notes and future appointments over for you. There is nothing to convert first.
- How do I move from MoeGo to Woof?
Export your Client & Pet List from MoeGo with Bulk Edit › Export selected clients and email it to support@woof.net, and Woof's team moves everything over for you. If it is one file with clients and pets, you can import it yourself.
- How do I see who is coming in today?
Woof's Today page shows who is expected, who is here and who has left, with the Check In and Check Out buttons for each pet. Start and end every day on it.
- What is the bell icon for?
The bell in Woof's top bar is your to-do list: it counts the items a person has to act on, such as unread messages, booking requests, new-client reviews and vaccine uploads, and each row opens the place where you act on it.
- Where is everything in Woof?
Woof's sidebar is organised by what you are doing: Today, Schedule, Clients, Money and Messages to run the day, then Grow, Team and Insights, with Settings at the bottom. The New button creates anything from anywhere and search finds any client or pet.
- How do I set up Woof?
The setup checklist in Woof lives inside Ask Woof, behind the paw print at the top of every page. It walks you through your first day one step at a time, then lays out the rest of setup in six chapters, and most rows tick themselves when the work is done.
